Top 10 Search Engine Placement

I have consistently achieved a top 10 placement in the search engines for several of my websites for popular search engines like Yahoo and Google.  If Your Bottom Line is Making Money Through Search Engine Traffic Without Wasting Your Time,  Then You Better Listen Up...

The algorithm for top ten search engine placements has changed drastically in recent times causing a lot of top ranked websites to topple over and come crashing down. Yet the fact remains that these coveted rankings are totally attainable. And if done properly, the traffic is  highly targeted right to the bulls eye, and can result in a lot of sales.

 Top 10 Search Engine Placement Without Spending a Fortune, Wasting Precious Time or Lost Sales ...

1. As a first step, if you can grab a high quality web site domain name targeted to your product or services, that can give you a strong nudge to the top right away. This is totally do-able and the exact strategy is outlined in my article : How to select high quality  website domain names . Here I will reiterate the fact, that even before you start your website, you need to select high quality keywords targeted to your product or services and then plan your website around those keywords.

2. Once you have selected your keyword based domain name, you need to plan your website around those keywords.

  •  Your home page should be optimized to your main keyword that is reflected in your domain name.

  •  Also your home page should have at least two dozen or more inbound links leading to other content pages on your website. In fact, the more the better. It should also have at least 500+ words of content.

  •  Each of these  pages (leading off the home page), should have unique quality content (Such as informative articles of at least 500+ words long about your product or services).

  •  Also each of these content pages should be optimized to an independent keyword describing a different aspect of your product. (For instance: if your home page keyword is 'rheumatoid arthritis', your content pages could be "Signs and Symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis", "Early detection of rheumatoid arthritis", "Dealing With Rheumatoid Arthritis"...etc. I am sure you get the idea.

  • In addition the content pages should have your copyright information and a back to home link, or even a link to your site map page.

  • Remember, the search engines are looking for unique, quality content. So you should not take all your articles off from other sources. At least 70% of your content should be unique and should not be automatically generated.

  • Intersperse your unique content with a few really informative articles from other sources and enable active (outbound links) to other highly informative websites. Place all outgoing links to lead off your content pages.

  • Since Keywords play such an important role in proper planning and layout of your website, here I will suggest Top 10 Position in the Search Engines!  Here you need to weigh the  benefits of getting the right tools to attaining your goals of rapidly  making money online.

3. Next you need high quality incoming links i.e. links pointing from other quality websites to your website. Here you might have already read about various link exchanges, linking strategies etc. I don't believe that automated link exchanges will serve your purpose, the search engines have caught onto that one. You need quality incoming links. The best way of obtaining such links is through writing and submitting articles. Here you need some automation, otherwise you could end up spending several months or even years  just getting the right quality of  incoming links. Here I suggest Instant Article Submitter . 4. I have talked about 'Optimizing web pages' above. Here is how to optimize your content pages. Each of your pages should have :

  • keywords meta-tags in the head section of your page. Here is an example:<meta http-equiv="key words" content="Keyword1, keyword2, keyword3">

  • Title Tags. These are absolutely essential, again in the head section. Example:<title>Keyword1</title>

  • Headings and Sub headings in <h1>,<h2> and <h3> tags. <h1> tag should appear at the top of the page. <h2> and <h3> tags to be positioned further down in the copy. These heading tags should highlight the main keyword for which the page is being optimized.

  • You should not overdo your page with your keyword. The content should read realistically normal. Search engines do not approve of keyword spamming. Just a few sprinklings going realistically with the flow of the content will do the trick.

5. Naming convention for content pages ... again this is very critical. Your web page name should be targeted to your keyword. For instance if your keyword is: Deep Skin Cleansing

  • You could use the .htm extension, the .html extension or no extension at all. I have noticed all three types of pages in the top 10 rankings on the search engines.

  • Similarly your page name could be hyphenated, underscored or  just continuous text as follows:  deepskincleansing.htm ; deep_skin_cleansing.htm or deep-skin-cleansing.htm . Here the continuous text form generally comes higher, followed by the under scored version. Though of course it depends more strongly on the quality of your content and the keyword optimization.

  • If you organize your web site using sub directories, then it is a good idea to name your subdirectory on the subtopic keyword, though I have not noticed this make much of a difference.

6. Recently Google has added an automatic site map generation feature, and some SEO are recommending that it be implemented on your website. But I think that any ordinary site map page can do the job. as long as the search engines are able to find it as soon as they reach your home page.
