How to Work Hard Efficiently...

"Don't be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves." ... Dale Carnegie

1. Before You start each day, take 5 minutes to plan your day. Make a list of all the things you intend to do that day.

2. While preparing your list, allow some time in between activities for checking your emails or answering your phone calls, but make sure to stick to your allotted time frame for these tasks... don't get carried away.

3. Look through your work to do list. And start working first on the item that is the most challenging or has high priority.

4. Keep working through your list diligently and crossing off the completed items.

5. Remember to take a few breaks 0f at least 10 - 15 minutes each to allow your brain to re-focus and rest.

6. Once Your work for that day is complete, ideally you should take  the remaining time off to relax or spend quality time with your family.

Working Hard with Focus and Multi-Tasking

Multi-tasking is the name of the game these days. Whether you are working in a corporate environment, are a student, are working in a sales environment, hospital or where ever... you need to be able to do a lot of different activities or tasks almost at the same time and do them equally well too.

The best way to be able to tackle them all equally well is to be really well organized. Plan your work. Then work your plan. Get focused and stick to it. Some people work well by bundling similar tasks together and then focusing and completing those tasks at the same time. Of course, getting organized with a to do list helps in this scheme of things.

In other words you need to be able to work smart while working hard:

  1.  Plan your work... break it down into chunks of activities.

  2.  Prioritize the activities that need to be completed first.

  3. Assign time frames to each activity.

  4.  Get focused and start working through your list in order of priority.

  5. Work only during the allotted time frame.

  6. Make time to relax and 'Play'.

  7. Get adequate rest/sleep.

  8. Don't forget to take care of your physical self.
