way to defeat fear...
Decide on a course of conduct and follow it. Keep so

What is the worst that can happen?
Then prepare to accept it.
Then proceed to improve on the worst."

breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to

"Have
faith in your ability to meet any emergency when it comes"...Wallace
Wattles in Science Of Getting Rich
For Instance : Are You Afraid After the Tsunami
or After the 9/11 tragedy or other major incident experienced or
witnessed by You?...
If you are afraid after the
disastrous Tsunami which killed over 250,000 people and deeply
impacted almost the entire world... well you are not alone and
there is nothing to be ashamed of.
You should talk about your feelings openly,
discuss them with family and friends, maybe think up some plans/ways in
which you could prepare yourself if such a thing ever happened to you.
But remember don’t dwell on the fear alone, for
what you focus on grows and grows and grows. Don’t let fear control your
life.
For what are the odd chances of this ever happening
to you?
Maybe never.
Statistically such disasters happen once
in several hundred years or even in several centuries.
Though recently, because of the
advancements in
communication and the media, it seems like they are happening all the time,
an earthquake here, a flooding there, a devastating fire in another place...
So what the heck? If you are born, you have to die
anyway...
It could be now or it could be at the end of your natural life
cycle. Don’t let the fear of death or dying or being involved in a scary
situation take over your life.
You are meant to live life to its fullest. Though
it is better to be prepared for all sort of emergencies in one’s life time,
it is not right to limit yourself in anyway because of the fear of what
could happen.
Don’t let fear of any sort paralyse you. Don’t
take too many precautions. Don’t stop living near the water, just because a
Tsunami happened!
For what do you know, you are focused on a
Tsunami, suddenly a huge comet creeps upon you unawares and strikes the
earth splitting it into smithereens...
You know even the best laid plans do
not work when the real thing happens!
This does not mean not to have any
emergency planning at all.
You should have some emergency plans...
Like how to
escape from your home if a fire happens; Where all your family members could
meet up in case of a split up in an emergency; Maybe prepare an emergency
kit to grab while leaving home in a hurry.
But never, never ever limit yourself by it.
For death of your physical body is going
to happen anyway... How to cope with death anxiety
-
It could be a natural death due to old age with
graceful aging and equally peaceful exit
-
It could be in an accident during car or air travel
-
It could be while you are peacefully sleeping
totally unaware of what nature is silently dishing out to you... Like
thousands of people died in their sleep in the earth quake in Iran last year
-
You could be murdered while walking down the
street
-
You could be kidnapped while out on a trip
-
You could be in a building while some crazy
terrorist decides to crash air planes into it like it happened to the 9-11
victims
-
You could be at your school or work place, while
your crazy colleague bursts in with a gun, shooting wildly in every
direction
-
You could be in some poor country at war, where the
perpetrators decide to capture you and torture you inhumanly just to satisfy
their psychotic distorted egos... Just like it happened at the Abughraib prison
in Iraq, or the nazi prisons or even the KGB concentration camps
-
You could be mowed down by a drunk, out of control
driver while crossing the street
-
You could be murdered by your own husband or wife
or even child in a crazy fit of rage
-
You could be having fun on a beach, and a Tsunami
strikes
-
You could die of cancer
-
You could die of over eating, by developing heart
and blood pressure problems
-
You could have some other incurable disease
-
You could even die of flu or pneumonia
-
You could slip in your bathroom , break all your
ribs and bones and die a painful death in the hospital
-
You could fall in a coma, and have your feeding
tubes taken away by law like Terri Schiavo’s were...
Heck!!! It could happen almost anyway... I can think
of a thousand different ways! Remember death should be the least of your
worries. It happens only once.
So why be afraid? Don’t ever be scared? Expel your
fears right now.
For you are going to die ultimately, peacefully or
otherwise. It will happen, period.
Because what will happen, will happen, you cannot revert it. In fact you
could accelerate it in coming towards you by being totally afraid all the
time as this would cause you to become more accident prone or develop a
victim attitude and attract all kinds of bad energy...
For what you focus on grows, you attract what you
are thinking about all the time.
Even the best laid plans don’t work when
the real thing happens, so instead of focusing on how to save yourself from
all those totally imaginable disasters, accidents, crimes, disease or
whatever...
Think of Living. Think of how you
are going to live your life fully. Focus on some totally achievable goals in
your life, focus on your dreams and goals.
Throw away all fears. Dissolve all limitations.
Think of thriving. Think of growing. Think of achievement. Think of
abundance. Think of the miracle of life.
Remember nature is friendly to you.
If you focus on
the dark side of things that is what will come to you. And if you focus on
the bright abundant side of it... That is what you will get. So let fear flow
out of you right now, and let amazement, happiness, success, appreciation of
the bounty of nature flow into you right now.
Keep your mind wide open, do not paralyze it with
fear.
For your mind is a survivor, and has the natural instincts to enable
you to cope and face even the most drastic situations when they arise. You
do not need to think about them now, you do not need to limit your self in
any way, for you have the inherent instincts to live, thrive and grow.
Focus on the good in everything and that is what
will come to you.
Let fear be gone! Use your imagination
and time wisely... and you will never have to fear again. Also you could use
