For Dog Lovers: You need to Train Your Dog

It was a sad day for me, Timmy finally had to be put down.
My little gray dog... I had had him since he was a cute little puppy.  But recently he had been acting strangely. He had grown kind of vicious and fierce
...

I guess the signs had been there coming on slowly...
The day he attacked our pet kitty, when I tried to stop him, he turned on me in a very aggressive manner, I ran and he chased me, I was finally rescued by an adult.

Then one morning we got the report, he had got out somehow during the night and attacked a stray lamb from one of the neighboring farms... it was not only attacked but viciously torn apart and eaten with relish! Now there was no option left, my dog had to be put down.

Almost everyone of us has been close to a pet animal or know someone who has. Animals and dogs in particular are some of the most loving, protective, helpful and faithful companions to have around.
Even after 30 years, my husband fondly remembers his childhood pet dog whom he had trained very lovingly and lost to dog-nappers.

Dogs can be your most devoted companion.  They truly give selfless love. There are countless true stories of dogs saving lives without worrying about their own safety/survival and against incredible odds.

One dog pulled his master's young son to safety during the Big South Asian Tsunami, thereby saving his life. Another dog I know, fought off an attack by a poisonous snake to protect it's 'human kids' and died saving lives. Yet another dog saved it's master's life by alerting others, when his master had an immobilizing stroke and needed help. There are dogs helping countless  people to live normal protected lives everyday.

Yes... A dog can be your best friend and the phrase "Till Death Do Us Part" holds true for these loving canines. Appreciate them.

Good training, house breaking and adequate care can sometimes be very challenging but not impossible. Take good care of your dog.
