Wedding Flower
Are you planning a wedding?
Please Read this article. You just might get some unusual
inspirational ideas.
Wedding
Flower. Whichever part of the world you live in, you must have
flowers for your wedding. In fact the only weddings I have seen,
where flowers did not constitute the center piece of the wedding
celebrations was in the tribal cultures of west Africa. Here
the conspicuous lack of flowers was probably due to the outright
lack of 'domesticated' flowers in those societies. To
be sure they did have an abundance of wild flowers growing in
their exotic jungles. However in their struggle for survival they
had probably not learned to appreciate the aesthetics of these finer details
of life.
Even
in the more cultured societies of Europe and England
specifically, during the earlier centuries, flowers were used
at weddings to mask bad odours on the person of the bride. This
was because for the poor peasants, water was really scarce. So the task of
taking a bath progressed very slowly from once a year, to once a
month to once a week to as we know it today. So the contemporary
bride was challenged to mask her awful bodily scents and appear beautiful somehow. Flowers
presented the easiest, cheapest and a graceful solution in the agrarian
society. Hence the humble beginnings of the
traditional bridal bouquets, wedding flower arrangements and what
not.
In
the more colorful cultures of the Indian subcontinent, flowers
have been an essential part of ceremonial occasions for centuries.
brides are decorated with garlands of roses, and jasmines and
some yellow blooms. They have garlands, crowns, hair pieces, flower
bracelets, flower earrings, flower girdles, flower veils, and more giving lots of fragrant color.
In
the Arabian tradition, the leaves of the Henna plant have been
crushed for centuries to produce 'mehndi' a red die used to
decorate the brides hands and feet. And there's a myth that the
richer the color of the tattoo, the stronger will be the love bond
between the couple being united.
Similarly
in the Hawaiian tradition, the brightly colored Hawaiian orchids
have been woven for ages into decorative leis for weddings and
other celebrations.
Even
in the ancient Egyptian civilization paintings have been found of
King Tut giving a lotus flower to his bride on their wedding eve.
So
is it too much to expect? Every bride deserves special flowers on
this auspicious occasion. Just search the internet for
"wedding flower" and you will come up with a whole lot
of affordable options, designs, arrangements and lots more. Have
fun and joy.
