Different God's... One Creator -- Mother Earth Spirituality

Today is Jan 1 2004,

I feel like writing again after a really long time. Today  I received an email from India from someone who wants to reprint one of my articles in their offline magazine... a pretty good start to a new year, don’t you think so? Anyway I have been doing really well in my course at BCIT and have pretty high hopes... Lets see what happens... 

 We live in one universe on one planet... our mother Earth, we breath the same air, drink the same water, our beliefs may vastly differ but our creator is the same. We were brought into the world through the same process or creation. Our planet is at risk from the same risk factors. The factors underlying our creation, existence and survival on this planet have a common denominator.

Yes, our gods may be different but our creator is the same. Our science, our natural arts and our human nature, technical machinery is the same... So why this discrepancy? Why this hatred?  

First it was the devastation in Algeria, then it was California, then the terrible death and destruction in Iran, followed by Mexico... I see a pattern here, Is nature trying to get back to us... trying to clear the clutter from its folds and crevices... or is it only an intense period of geological activity of our Mother Earth?

What message is our home planet trying to convey to us by such massive upheavals on a grand scale, its plate movements or earthquakes?

Are we at its mercy mere animals to be disposed of and blown away on the winds of nature, just like the disappearance of the megalithic dinosaurs from the face of the earth, or the intense devastations caused by the Noah-ic floods mentioned in the oldest scriptures and now proven by science to have actually taken place...

Is it the beginning of another cleansing period for mother earth?

Nostradamus had predicted the end of the world around the twentieth century... most of his predictions happened, so is this another truth, another historic drama of nature, of death and devastation, of evolution, perhaps another cycle of recuperation of our dear motherland unfolding right before our very eyes... 

And we ungrateful survivors perhaps why do we not see the vulnerabilities we face as a human race and stop fighting like mere animals squabbling over a morsel of rotting meat, bury the hatchet, settle our differences , start looking at the greater picture of ourselves as a human race. Are we humans indeed -- doesn’t our behavior look suspiciously similar to the most measly animal instincts -- a little refined perhaps to show our ill-founded veneer and brain development? 

Isn’t it time to stop following our corrupt, power hungry pack leaders or dirty politicians in more polished language, and start thinking for ourselves as a proud race the inheritors of this great planet of ours, and make our mother earth proud of its son’s and daughter’s. Make her side up with us instead of acting up desperately trying to clear the trash from its folds and corners.
