Getting Over a Break Up Fast 

The most common ways of getting over a break up are to engage , distract or hypnotize your mind away from the emotional attachments of the break up. It's common sense actually.

 If you can engage yourself - become so busy or so absorbed in doing some work that your mind gets totally engaged in it, you have succeeded in moving your thoughts away from the breakup of your emotional life. And if you do this often enough, not only do you move your life forward in several meaningful ways, but the emotional power of your ex gradually loses its hold over you, until it's painful no more.

Now if you are wondering where you can find some work so absorbing that it will totally dis-engage your mind away from your troubles, here is a little suggestion: Go to the search engines, type in 'soduku' and print out a few free soduku puzzles ranging from 'simple' to 'hard to evil... Try and solve them one by one. Use a pencil, so that even if you make mistakes, you can rub them out and start over. Don't give up until you have succeeded in solving each and every one of them correctly. The reason I have suggested soduku as a possible solution, is because it engages your mind/brain completely and does not allow any other thoughts to seep in while you are working at it.

Do this every time you are alone, depressed or feeling the pull of those negative emotions taking over your mind. Engage your mind until you are successfully able to shrug off those break up blues.

Distraction works in similar ways, but its effects are more short lived. In this instance you go watch a movie, or do something interesting that will distract you from your break up and help you get over those emotionally disturbing times. Distraction may not be a very effective means to take your mind and your life away from your breakup. It will work only if your emotional involvement with your ex was not deep enough.

 Lift up your right hand, and make a grabbing action over your head --- like you are collecting all the thoughts, emotions and garbage of your break up. Close your fist over those thoughts and emotions. Tighten your fist, and crush those thoughts and emotions, then go open a window/ door with your left hand, Thrust out your right fist which is still tightly closed with all those crushed feelings of the breakup trapped inside it.

Throw those break up feelings outside, shake your hand as if dusting it, then pull it in and close the window immediately. Now go and wash your hands with antibacterial hand soap.  You have successfully thrown all your breakup emotions and feelings outside. Take a deep breath and resolve to go on with your life.  You can repeat this as often as you need to. Every time you throw those feelings out, the intensity/ hold of the breakup over you reduces, as some of the feelings have gone.

So engage, distract, hypnotize, forgive or use any of the other options for getting over your break up. But get over it... You must.
