Though depression is ascribed to neuro-chemical
imbalances in the brain /mind and is considered a clinical condition, here

neutralizes the 'unhealthy chemicals' and the person feels good for a
while. Then the deep-down inner-core issues raise their ugly heads again

thankfulness: As soon as you wake up every morning: In your mind or slowly
to yourself, say 'Thank you God for another beautiful day', 'Thank you God
for another happy day', 'Thank you God for another healthy day', 'Thank
you God for... '. Build up your own list of things to be thankful for. In
fact, you might try repeating this mantra as many times as you get an
opportunity in your day.
