2. Schedule some private time to talk .... Say, "Hey honey, we need to talk." schedule some specific time with your spouse to talk -- without telling him/her what you are going to talk about. This should be done in a totally private spot preferably in your own home ... after all it's your spouse you are dealing with. Here are some critical possibilities to consider:

•  If you feel your wife or husband or partner might get physically violent - you can arrange with a friend that you will call him/her half an hour later, and he/she should check up on you  if you do not call.
