1. How To Use Pop Ups As A Marketing Tool

Though Pop-ups are bothersome. However as a special marketing strategy you will install just one pop up either on load or unload of your home page.

2. How to Write a Script for a Popup Window - Designing an effective pop up is a deceptively simple two step process :

1.Design your HTML page to appear in the pop up. This should basically be an advertisement comprising a heading, three or four benefit loaded lines and your subscription link. For better effect, convert your text to table, merge cells, align left. Set the page background color to your site color. Upload this page to your server as ‘newsletter.html’.

2.Insert the following code in the <body> tag of your home page:

<body ONLOAD="javascript:window.open (‘newsletter.html’,’newsletter’,’HEIGHT=400,WIDTH=350,scrollbars=yes’)">

You may change the ‘ONLOAD’ to ‘ONUNLOAD’; adjust the height and width to suit your preferences; delete the ‘scrollbars=yes’ option if you don’t want scroll bars.
