Recently National Geographic aired a program where they showed how one smart monkey accidentally dropped her sweet potato in to a stream, only to discover that it tasted much better after being dipped in water. So she started washing her potatoes before eating, and very soon the entire monkey tribe joined in!

Isn't it amazing how one small change produced such a massive outcome.

As very aptly put by the first man on the moon: 

"One Small Step For Men, One giant leap for mankind"... Neil Armstrong   

So why not take your one small step today that could give you a giant leap?

97% of adults in the entire world do not know what their life plan is, where they are going , what they want to achieve in life. At the very best they just have a vague idea: get through college; get a job; get married; work your way to death; retire and then...

usually end up in ill health, poverty, obscurity, anger with the world, regrets at the way life treated you and kind of 'waiting for death'... become a ‘hard to carry’ burden for  your family or the system you live in and then... die. 

Why Not Be Different? 

Yes, Why not make a small difference NOW and see a big change later.

Here are a few starters that will immediately catapult you in to the top 3% of the world population: 

1.Make a list. Yes write down your five most important wishes or goals that you want to see yourself doing in the next one year.  For example:

 By December Next year :

  • I  Will be earning...

  • I will be weighing...

  • I will be...

2.Start Prioritizing: Take 5 minutes every morning to plan out your tasks of the day in order of priority. And do all the important ones/ most dreaded ones first. 

3. Stop Procrastinating or putting off: Say if you have a vague plan tucked away in some corner of your mind that you will write a book some day, or what ever. So why not start right now... you may just take 30 minutes at the end of each day to write something down or plan it out. [As often said by my mother who admonished us kids as follows: "Whatever you want to do tomorrow, do it today; Whatever you want to do today, do it NOW"].  

4.Start Planning. What’s your most important goal, start planning on how you will achieve it. 

5.Gradually start reducing the time you spend in non productive activities – say playing, watching TV, excessive partying... and start re-channeling it to working towards your goals. 

6.Start Budgeting/Saving: Start a written record of the amount you spend each day. At the end of every month  subtract the total amount spent from the total amount earned, any leftovers will be your savings, Plan how you can cut back on your expenditure and increase your savings. As a first step to your financial empire start a savings account. 

7. Make a small shift in your attitude. Your life is simply a reflection of your attitude. Why not make a difference. Be more positive, be more happy, be more confident, be more appreciative, be more healthy and be more focused on success and achieving your goals. 

Yes... make a difference NOW and then see the change.
