All About Key Words- The How's And Why's

What are key words?- These are basically words that best describe your site and people use them to find you. Thus a site related to ebooks should be able to come up in searches for ebooks, e-books, electronic books etc.

Here the trick is to carefully select 3-6 words that best describe your site and then optimize your site for these key words. The technique follows:

1.Select the right Key Words: Select the most obvious words people will use that best relate to your site; Always use the plural form of the word; Don’t use internet related terms such as net, internet, web etc Thus you should use ‘business’ instead of ‘internet business’. Also use multiple words. You may use the following facilities for keyword selection:

2.Go to the link below and use your keywords to search. Take a close look at the sites that come up, do these match your business interest? Your competitors site must come up using these keywords. If not revise your key words. http://www.gogettem.com/

4.Make your text key word rich.

c. Re-write your web text to include the keywords in the headings, links and all other text but don’t overdo it or spam. Also please note that for submission to human moderated search engines like Yahoo meta tags should not be included.
